had new banners made we used this occasion to formally retire our old
banner. It will be going to one of the original members of the Pines,
Mary Chirdo.

FROM THE QUEENS CIVIC CONGRESS RECEPTION
The Queens Civic Congress is an
organization devoted to the betterment of Queens by listening to Queens'
people and taking action. The Queens Civic Congress was formed by the
merger of the United Civic Council of Queens and the Eastern Queens
Civic Council. The Congress represents nearly 100 civic and other
community organizations across the borough of Queens.
For the past 2
years we have attended their annual Legislative Reception. It is an
opportunity to mingle with some of our elected officials and
representatives of other civics.
