Little Neck Pines Civic Association Meetings:

Meetings are held at the Community Church of Little Neck (1 block south of Northern Blvd. on Little Neck Parkway.)

  • Henry Hernandez, the supervisor of the Flushing District Office of Social Security spoke and answered questions.

  • Ruth Michaelson, Clinic Director for the Pride of Judea spoke.

"Awards Night"

November 16th was our annual Awards Night.

Two of our board members received awards for their loyal and dedicated efforts to help our community through their good works as board members of Little Neck Pines.

An award was given to Andy Zuleta, manager of our local Stop & Shop for providing us with refreshments for our meetings.  Mr. Zuleta was unable to attend but a representative of the store accepted for him.

An award was given to Vinny Luca from Boar’s Head provisions who generously donated mustard, sauerkraut and 100 hot dogs for the National Night Out Against Crime celebration.

There were 3 awards for our loyal parade marchers, Katherine Krele & Linda Haydek, who were unable to attend, and

Awards were given to 5 ‘summons officers’ who help keep our streets safe and traffic flowing. 

The first award was for Police Officer Patrick Kehoe who was not able to attend.

An award was given to Robert Waltzer the owner of Aikido of Queens, a local karate school, for the beautification of our town with the renovations to his storefront.

 The final award was given to the chairman of Community Board 11, Jerry Iannece who gave the gift of his services as an attorney for matters pertaining to the creation of our Senior Center.

Since we have had new banners made we used this occasion to formally retire our old banner.  It will be going to one of the original members of the Pines, Mary Chirdo.

"Pines Candidates Night"

The candidates for State Senate and State Assembly were present. 

Local Meetings:

  • Community Board 11 meets the first Monday of every month at MS 158, located at 46-35 Oceania Street in Bayside.

  • 111th Precinct Community Council meets the first Tuesday of every month (September through June) at the 111th Precinct at 45-06 215th Street in Bayside (corner of 215th Street and Northern Blvd.)
