Community Church of Little Neck Saturday, September 25th between 10 am and 3pm the Community Church of Little Neck will be holding an indoor flea market. They are located at 46-16 Little Neck Parkway (where we hold our meetings). If any of you have items to sell and wish to participate, call 718-229-2534 as soon as possible. This is a great event and has been the flea market for Little Neck for years. Come rain or shine and browse the items for sale. Free Parking
Little Neck-Douglaston Lions Club Thursday, September 16th 2010 Second Annual Golf Fall Classic at the Clearview Golf Course to benefit the Bernard Fineson's Hillside Campus NYS Office of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities & Autism Valentines Day Prom. For more info, email- LNDLionsclub@aol.com or call Ralph Barba at 914 804-8383 The Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs holds their annual festival on Oceania Street and the Horace Harding Expressway on Sunday, September 12th from 1-5 pm. Traditional music and food is available as well as games, rides, and more! Cunningham Park is another place to go on Sunday, September 12th from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm for Family Fun Day sponsored by Assemblyman David Weprin and the Friends of Cunningham Park. Children can enjoy arts and crafts, games, rides and the adults can shop at the Farmers Market. On Saturday, September 25th the annual Festival of Little Neck Bay will be held at Alley Pond Environmental Center from 11 am to 3 pm to celebrate National Estuaries Day. Free items will be given out and information about the environment and the bay is displayed along with the center’s various animals. Boat rides and canoe rides are available along the shore of the bay. On Sunday September 26th the Douglaston Village Chamber of Commerce will host an arts and crafts fair by the Douglaston LIRR Station at 235 Street. Feast on food and listen to music while shopping for handmade crafts and artwork. Spend a day on the Farm! The Queens County Farm Museum will hold the Annual Queens County Fair on September 25th and 26th from 11 am to 6 pm. The farm is located on Little Neck Parkway at 73 Avenue. There are craft demonstrations, pig races, hayrides, a petting zoo, carnival rides and a 3- acre corn maze. Admission for the fair is $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children |
